To get straight to the point, yes this movie is funny; it is really quite hillarious in fact. Maximus could ask at any point during the movie "are you not entertained?!" and I would have to reply 'yes, quite thoroughly.'That's what was so great about this film, I went to the theater to be entertained (the only reason to go to a theater) and I was continuously smiling at the very least. Also, the voice actors (NPH, Mr. T, Anna Farris!) were great and the father son moments were really touching. I would have to disagree with USA Today's review, and say the ending was great, not 'drawn-out.' I saw the movie in 3D, which was excellent. For my first time the 3D was not forced or invasive, it was subtle and inspired; it actually made me beleive that 3D movies could actually be a real thing and not just a gimmick (PS. the trailer for A Christmas Carol in 3D was sweet!). The 3D in this movie actually makes me want to hit the Toy Story/Toy Story 2 3D double feature (now playing!). The only thing that worries me is whether or not this movie will still be funny another time around.
Verdict: Great Family Fun Movie, Great 3D, and Very Funny. 3.5 Meatballs Out Of Five
